Irfan Čustović Presented at the 2023 European Conference on Computing in Construction

During the 2023 European Conference on Computing in Construction (EC3) in Greece, Irfan Čustović gave a presentation on his recent paper titled “Towards integrated digital twins for construction and manufacturing" that was co-authored by Ranjith Soman, Pieter Pauwels and Daniel Hall.

In this work, he outlined the inefficiencies associated with applying separated digital twins for construction projects and for prefabrication facilities. Following that, he presented a conceptual digital twin integration model which can enable holistic optimizations across these two domains. This presentation not only shared valuable information with the conference attendees but also provided a basis for further discussions about the specificities of designing and implementing such integrated digital twins in real-world project settings.
